Our Third Trip to Yamanakako with First-Year Students.
This was our third trip to Kawaguchiko with our first-year students.
Every year, on the last school day before the holidays, our Academy travels to Kawaguchiko together with first-year students. This year, we once again set off on this special journey.
This time, we visited:
① Arakurayama Sengen Park
新倉山浅間公園(あらくらやま せんげんこうえん)
A famous sightseeing spot known for its panoramic view of Mt. Fuji.
Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side this time, and Mt. Fuji was only partially visible. Still, it was a memorable start to our trip.
② Ramen Restaurant
We enjoyed vegetable ramen with a view of Lake Yamanakako.
For some students, it was their first time eating ramen, for others their first time trying vegetable ramen, and for some, even their first time using chopsticks.
The restaurant owner kindly provided forks for those who had difficulty using chopsticks.
Thank you very much for the warm hospitality — it was delicious!
③ Oshino Hakkai
忍野八海(おしのはっかい)
A picturesque village known for its eight crystal-clear ponds, fed by melted snow from Mount Fuji.
With traditional thatched-roof houses and beautiful natural surroundings, it is a calm and peaceful place that left a strong impression on everyone.
④ Shinobi Show at Shinobi no Sato
忍びショー・忍びの里
This was our first visit here.
We watched a Japanese theatrical show about shinobi (ninjas). It was a little scary at times, but very exciting and entertaining.
⑤ Herb Garden Tabinikki Katsunuma
ハーブ庭園 旅日記 勝沼
The final stop of our school trip was the illuminations at Herb Garden Tabinikki Katsunuma.
Although this place is usually a garden filled with flowers and herbs, we visited during the colder season and were welcomed by beautiful illuminations instead.
A very romantic place and a perfect way to end our journey.
